Avanew Milestones
2019
Avanew was established in 2019 with the goal of creating an institutional asset class investment vehicle that would create new housing options consistent with the market demand.
March
2020
As proof-of-concept, Avanew acquired 10 properties and completed substantial renovations to add additional dwelling units (ADUs), adding an additional 10 units (20 total) to the rental market.

2021
Replicating the proof-of-concept strategy of densifying existing homes, Avanew Fund 1 purchased 100 properties across Southern Ontario and converted them into 200 rental units.
February
2022
Avanew Fund II acquired 228 single family homes across Ontario with 311 rental units.

2022
Avanew provided 12 months of rent-free, utility-free homes to 20 Ukrainian families fleeing the war in Ukraine.

2023
Avanew launches in-house property management operations, creating Ontario’s largest low-rise rental property management entity.
